NewNewNew!

Sheer Dress: Motel Rocks £19

I've wanted to get my hands on this cute black sheer baby doll dress for absolutely agess now. Finally!
I cannot wait to wear it! Now to buy some high-waisted shorts from American Apparel to wear under it. Yes it may be Winter outside, but stick on a pair of tights, cutout chunky boots and throw on a fur coat and tah-dah! Perfect.

Mirror mirror on the wall...

Mirror: Evolution £9!!

Walked into Evolution the other day to have a look around for my friend Alisha as her's birthday's the 25th December (-that's right) and this little beauty caught my eye! I fell in love with it and had to get it asap. (So glad I've been paid!) The cheap price makes this mirror even better!

The family and I met Sir David Attenborough last night :) lovely guy and a great night!

He made a great speech at a private viewing of a family friend's exhibition -John Craxton- at the Fitzwilliam in Cambridge.

My lil sis got a picture with him.

Such a talented artist.

Just one of the things Fifi and I have talked about today.
(°ロ°)☝

-Er Fifi’s name on my phone is a story for another day…-

Monday 4 November 2013

Quick snap of a sleepy snuggle.

Few photos from Halloween where you can see some of my devil outfit which I wore to work for dress-up!
(Loving these horns I got off Ebay)

-My phone's camera is shittt-

I sprayed the bottom of my hair red (to add a kinda flames-look like my tights. Will post photos), and it went EVERYWHERE. My hands were bright red, my neck too. It went on the floor, a flannel, my towl, the mantel piece, my coat...
...and that stuff does NOT BUDGE easily.

It was so much redder than in this photo

The morning for work I was scrubbing so hard on my neck to get some off -barely made a difference. And I washed my hair for the next (normal) day and it was still tinged red?

Devilish
(Wearing the ring I was given at work on a cupcake.)

Hope you had a good Halloween!

Saturday 2 November 2013

Nealry bloody caught fire to my room today.
I woke up to a weird burning smell and i was wtf, where is that coming from?!
-I thought it might be like a burning plug or my hair straighteners, but it wasn't. Boe and his dad came up to try and figure it out and were like "Where is that coming from...?" (It wasn't from outside).

So I went to do my make-up at the window and I looked over, and the plastic bottom frame on the window was smoking slightly I was like "Fuckkkk.."

What had happened was that the sun had hit a small mirror on the window sill  and the reflection had burnt the plastic on the frame. IT STUNK. I was lucky the fricking curtains hadn't caught fire!

So lesson today, watch where you put mirrors! Jesus.

What a knob.
Got home Thursday to find this sitting on my bed !
Now it may not seem much, but to me, I love Halloween and this small gesture from Boe was really sweet. I've yet to eat it and see it glow!

Thought I'd treat myself with this Spooky Trick or Treat mix from Tesco haha. Yum!
I'd be lying if I didn't say I kinda of bought it for the cute bucket. (Typical me right there!)
Bought some (sweet) popcorn too, to munch on whilst watching Halloween stuff on tv. Didn't go out this year because I am poor-as at the moment which sucksss.

Was given a yummy Halloween cupcake at work today and didn't realise until I tried eating it, that there was a cute vintage-style witch ring on it! Pahaha

Also made these cute spooky drawings which I put up on my wall to get a lil bit more into the "Halloween spirit"... hah.

Snapchat

-My camera quality is shit-

I wanna post some pics of my Halloween costume which I wore for work but my room's a TIP and I can't find my camera's USB grrr..

3 Glow in the Dark Skeletons: Morrisons £1
Frankenstein cup: Costume shop in Cambridge
Eye Ball Key Ring: From Fifi
Light up Skull: ASDA £1
Ghost Nails: Morrisons £1

Selection of new-ish Halloween stuff I've bought which are dotted about my room. -Getting into the Halloween spirit. I love the cute-spooky side of Halloween.

This small skull is so cool, you can get it in blue or red at ASDA really cheaply! (I went for blue as I don't really like red lights tbh). The inside is glitter and sparkles when you turn it on. It's trippy; looks like you're looking into another universe.

Ghost False Nails!
Had to snap these up, they're so quirky!

Tuesday 29 October 2013

Had an early Halloween get-together/house party on Sunday evening with friends from back home -costume of course. I'd been looking forward to it for ages! Decided to go as a Pierrot clown (French style clown). I don't like normal clowns, they fucking annoy me so much, but these can be more feminine and subtle. I got the inspiration from a female Pierrot clown busk I bought a while ago now cheaply from an Antiques shop in Norwich.

I was going to buy a neck ruff online off Etsy (I couldn't find ANY decent ones anywhere else), but because of a lack of money I made one myself out of paper. Cheap, easy and actually turned out really well. I ended up using like 6 pieces of paper though haha! To join each piece I folded them, used double-sided tape, and then threaded some thread through them all so I could tie it round at the back.

Sunday 27 October 2013

Came up with these Halloween-themed nails yesterday and could not wait to try out the design!

I bought the white Barry M and glitter Loreal Paris nail polishes this morning before work which I was chuffed about. I've hyped this particular 'Nail Art Pen' before on here and it is truely something worth talking about. It's SO easy to use! Love it. Def recommend.

In order to achieve these nails I applied 3 coats of the white nail polish by Barry M -(it's not that thick so it needs more than one). Following this I used Loreal Paris' clear glitter as a top coat and then after drying, drew on some spider webs, starting on the star shape and moving onto adding the adjoining lines. (If you look at a real spiderweb you'll notice the lines running across the center star shape do not always join, so I think it looks more interesting if you apply this to the nail design).

I have to admit you need a very steady hand as you can see my lines are a bit wibbly. Ended up finding that trying to follow on with the spiderweb design on my right hand was HARD. So, if you trust someone to do the other I would recommend it (haha).

I have to say though, after finishing them I do REALLY love them. Perfect for the Halloween party I'm heading to tomorrow! Yay.

NEW! 'Wet Electric' at Dolls Kill.

I love this site. It's got to be one of my favourite online retail shops. Their ranges are epic and I would definitely recommend checking it out and having a snoop around the website if you haven't been on their before! It's unique and a gauranteed love.

Midnight Nails

Nail Varnishes
Black -Miss Sporty
Blue Glitter -Max Factor

Decided to grow my nails for a change from short! I've glammed them up with this combination of nail varnishes which I think look rad! I used Miss Sporty black nail varnish as a base coat and then painted my nails with Max Factor's blue glitter mini nail polish on top. What I like about this particular nail polish by Max Factor is that it's translucent enough to show some of the black underneath. I love the midnight effect of these two nail varnishes as they make really nice glitter-blue metallic nails which really pop! Perfect for a night out on the town.

(As you can probably see I loose patience with waiting for them to dry properly so they are quite scuffed!)
Hahah.

My favourite Grimes song!

Love this song it's so magical and calming.
The video is weird-cute and edgy which I like as it's unique. Claire Boucher is so adorable!

Grimes - Genesis

Modern Art of Women

Came across these on Tumblr and I just HAD to mention them on my blog. They are amazing, I love them so much. I am definitely going to be printing these out and putting them up on my walls! I love how they look so perfect yet there is a conflict of despair and sadness that they each show. The colours are popping, they really add to the portrayal of beauty. I don't know who created these but credit to them they are awesome!

Antipodium S/S14

I came across a couple of photos of Antipodium's 2014 Spring/Summer Collection on Tumblr and loved the shimmery material and cut of dress that I felt I had too look into it further. What I like in particular about these dresses and skirts is the eye-catching  material. It looks like coloured glass or gossamer wings; something from a fantastical dream that a fairy or nymph would be caught wearing. The shimmery green dress is definitely my favourite. Ahh I wish it was mine! The light hits the material perfectly, highlighting the pleats and different colours.

To preview the rest of Antipodium's range, check out this vid clip!

Make-up Bag: Etsy

Bought this make-up bag yesterday off Etsy. I have so much in my Treasury of different things I want to buy it's crazy! This is a shot of some goth girls from an old Goofy movie, don't know if anyone's seen it? But I like it's quirkiness and I think I'm due to treat myself haha! Will probably take about 2 weeks to come but I'm looking forward to it. It reminds me a bit of Fifi and I on some occasions when we can't be bothered to dress fancy and just throw on something black. Simple. Paha. And then there's something we see or hear and we're just like '. . . bleurgh. Fuck that.'
